FAQs

Here are some common questions I get, but please feel free to send me a message with any other questions, and I will try to answer them as soon as i can.

Great question, however there is not an easy answer.  Electrolysis requires many sessions over a period of time to get permanent results, and consistancy is required.  During the consultation, we will decide on a treatment plan to help you reach your goals.

Simple answer is yes.  There is a longer answer, but sensitivity not only varies between individuals, it also varies depending on where the work is being performed.  During the treatment, we will try to find a setting that is tolerable and accomplishes our objectives, and some patients use pain relieving creams to help.

The free consultation is for both of our benefits, and is a great time for you to get to know me, get familiar with the process, and ask any questions you have before deciding if you want  electrolysis. I will need to ask a few medical history questions, along with evaluate the skin and hair in the area you want treated to make sure you would be a good candidate for electrolysis.  Depending on time, good candidates can  get a trial to get a sense of what it feels like, and possibly get their first treatment afterwards.

Thank you for asking, this is important.  Hydration is the best way you can prepare for a session, as well moisturized skin will help protect the skin during the treatment and be in the best state to start healing afterwards.  If you are worried about sensation, you can apply some lidocaine cream to the area prior to starting (10 minutes max), with a piece of plastic wrap covering it to preserve potency.  After that, try to relax and focus on your goals.
